The Alaska State Fair Is Happening Now
The 2026 Alaska State Fair is underway in Palmer through September 7. If giant Alaska-grown vegetables, local food, live music, animals, exhibits and a little fairground chaos sound like your kind of day, The Magic Moose Bed&Breakfast makes a comfortable adults-only home base for the trip.
Begin your morning with an Alaska-style breakfast, spend the day exploring the fairgrounds and then return to Eagle River to relax among the trees. Guests can soak in the outdoor hot tub, play a game of pool in the Jackalope Pub or settle into one of our private queen guest rooms.

The fair is located at 2075 Glenn Highway in Palmer. Allow extra travel time—traffic on the Glenn Highway and near the fairgrounds can become heavy during popular events.
