Welcome to The Magic Moose Bed & Breakfast

Step into a truly old school bed and breakfast—where personal touches, homemade breakfasts, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere make your stay special. Unlike typical vacation rentals or Airbnb stays, we focus on genuine hospitality: rooms prepared with care, thoughtful amenities, and hosts who love sharing local tips, stories, and history.

The bed and breakfast tradition dates back centuries, originally offering travelers a warm bed and a hearty home-cooked meal in private homes. Our goal is to carry on that tradition, combining comfort, charm, and personal attention in a way modern hotels and rentals rarely provide.

Breakfast at The Magic Moose is made to order and features home-baked breads and pastries, farm-fresh eggs, bacon, quiche, and seasonal casseroles, along with espresso, cappuccinos, and a selection of teas. The menu is thoughtfully chosen by us—so we don’t cook individually for each guest—but if you have dietary restrictions, just let us know ahead of time and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

We also offer a cheese plate with fresh fruit and a cupcake for two for special occasions, available for an additional charge. Cupcakes are best requested at least two days in advance, though sometimes we can make one on short notice—ask anyway!

Our House & Shared Spaces

Our home blends comfort, charm, and a touch of fun, giving you plenty of places to relax, play, or unwind:

• Jackalope Pub Room: Challenge someone to a game of pool, dive into board games, or watch a show on the big-screen TV. The cozy bar area includes a microwave popcorn maker and coffee grinder.
• Balcony Hot Tub: Soak under the sky with a drink, a book, or just yourself. In summer, the sun never quits, and in winter, if the night shows up, you might catch the Northern Lights dancing overhead.
• Meditation Room: Up a spiral staircase, this serene space is perfect for yoga, meditation, or quiet reflection. Includes a yoga mat and electric fireplace for hot yoga or cozy stretches. A bistro table on the balcony lets you enjoy a peaceful moment with a cup of tea.
• Shared Dining: Enjoy breakfast in our shared dining area during set hours, sometimes accompanied by a fire in the fireplace. (The kitchen itself is not shared.)
• Backyard: Step outside to a backyard with a fire pit, perfect for evening gatherings, roasting marshmallows, or sneaking a peek at the night sky—Alaska-style, meaning long summer days, very short winter days, and occasional magical Northern Lights.
